1840  AUGUST 10TH, 1d GREY-BLACK, SG3, PLATE 5, lettered G-B.  A very fine four-margin example tied to miniature envelope addressed to Brighton by a THRAPSTONE Maltese Cross in Red; also alongside is a THRAPSTONE cds in Red and a THRAPSTONE PENNY POST in Blue.  On the reverse is an oval WAFER SEAL for 𝓕𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰/𝓦𝓸𝓸𝓭𝓼 which had been a Receiving House in the Old Thrapston Penny Post.
