1828  Entire headed Plantn Inverness-Sea Coast Nickerie Suriname addressed to his brother in Edinburgh and showing a fine two-line GREENOCK/SHIPLETTER, Robs S 12.  Interesting letter which mentions the writer's lack of money and also there is one slave mention - slavery was officially banned in 1818 and, apparently as a result, many plantations went bankrupt.
