1795  Entire headed "Success Transport St Helens" (I. o. Wight) from Daniel Wheeler to his brother Charles in London showing a fine concave PORTSMOUTH.  Interesting content re trying to gain a promotion and how lucky he was not to have sailed on "Venus of London " as it was full of Officers - he was transferred to the "Success" whilst the Venus was lost...
