...First '1/4' (4d for India Letter and 4 x 3d = 1/- for three sheets, then changed to 2/10 - 4d India Letter + Double Letter 2/6) whereas the correct rate should have been '4/2½' consisting of 4d India Letter plus three sheets x 1/3 for 559 miles from Portsmouth to Lochgilphead via London and Glasgow, plus 1d London Penny Post plus ½d Wheel Tax.  Ex Shaida.
