1857 Envelope from Rugby (Warwickshire) addressed to Miss Maclear, Royal Observatory, Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope, franked by a 2d Blue, SG 34 and a 6d Purple, SG 70. Endorsed Steamer Letter, it was paid at the Ship Letter rate of 8d. Carried by the Lindsay Packet, James Hartley (first outward voyage).
